Research Seminar on Adaptive Middleware

Adapt@Lille 2008 is a one-day seminar on research advances in adaptive middleware. This seminar, intends to shed light on some of the ongoing research issues in this important and fascinating research area. A number of open problems in the research domain of adaptive middleware will be discussed, and solutions to some of these problems will be proposed. The seminar will address important research topics in adaptive middleware related to:

  • middleware core mechanisms and concepts
  • advanced techniques such as aspects and components
  • patterns, idioms, languages for middleware
  • platforms, application servers, infrastructure
  • distributed applications

This seminar is organised under the auspices of the Collège Doctoral Européen and of the École Doctorale régionale Sciences pour l'Ingénieur Lille Nord-de-France. It is part of the two-day seminar called "Cours doctoral transfrontalier sur l'évolution et l'adaptation logicielle en informatique". The first day of the seminar takes place on 25 february 2008 in Mons, Belgium. It is organised by Tom Mens and Sylvain Degrandsart from UMH (Mons, Belgium), and focuses on "Advanced Topics in Software Evolution and Software Maintenance".
